AUA BPH Symptom Score Index

The AUA Index is a questionnaire developed by the American Urological Association to determine the severity of symptoms a patient is experiencing and to help diagnose BPH. Questions are scored numerically from 1 to 5 based on the self-reported severity and then totaled to provide a final score. Scores from 0-7 are considered mild; from 8 to 19 is considered a moderate score; and patients scoring above 20 are considered to have a severe form of BPH.
